About

JOHN STEPHENSON was born in 1945 and has pursued a career teaching, writing, editing, mentoring new writers and contributing to journals.

Lately he has been concentrating again on his chief interest, the prose novel.

Though always alive to the value of sheer entertainment in his writing, through his earlier novel The Optimist, widely and positively reviewed, he was also cited in the doctoral dissertation of Dr Helen O’Reilly (UNSW) as a contemporary exemplar of Late Modernism’s “collapsing of Time.”

The first book I’ve been associated with that I genuinely think may be read 100 years from now (The Optimist).
